NVISIA was selected by Orbitz to troubleshoot the systems that support their Dynamic Packaging (i.e., purchases combining hotel, air and car with discount) products. Orbitz determined that it is not reconciling dynamically packaged transactions properly. Since this problem was first discovered in 2006, Orbitz estimates millions in lost revenue and has made several attempts to discover the cause. NVISIA’s Kevin Crosby will be leading this DP Recon troubleshooting project. Kevin brings expert-level experience in both travel systems and booking/financial processes. The NVISIA team will spend the next 8 weeks investigating the cause of the reconciliation issue and designing and deploying a solution.
